Skincare that Never Sleeps. Surviving New York, NY (part 1)

The city that never sleeps may be “so nice, they named it twice,” but its climate is nothing if not as fickle as high school crushes.

The summers are warm, humid, and wet, the winters are cold, snowy, and windy; and it is partly cloudy year round and often polluted. So a skincare routine for this climate is working hard for its money. Or rather, being the most versatile belle at the skincare ball.

Here is one routine that helps take on an ever-changing climate, but also consistency filled with pollution, smog and other fun things :)

Morning routine:

  1. Cleanser (try Supreme Clean)
  2. Tighten+Glow. Refining Mist
  3. Deep Hydration. Gel Balm

Evening Routine:

  1. Cleanser
  2. Brilliance. Vitamin C Serum. 3x week
  3. Tighten+Glow. Refining Mist.
  4. Transform. Active Nourishment Gel Serum.
  5. Meta. Ultimate Tx Cream
  6. Deep Refining Cream 3x week
  7. Condition. Rainforest Repair Balm

Arguably, NYC is one of the most famous skylines in the world.

I am honored to have called NYC home for what is essentially most of my adult life (our Southern Connecticutians hold an honorary NYC card). And it was also the place that my life changed when I met Brook and Jay! (actual photo from that evening -- but that's a story for another day!)

People around the world are familiar with many of its famous sites...

Such as the Empire State Building

The Brooklyn Bridge

Central Park

Rockefeller

But to me it often feels

A little harsh...

 A bit foggy/polluted...

Cold.

Oh, and did I say cold+dry? That is, when it is not hot and humid

NYC is filled with such amazing food and culture, stay tuned for part 2 with my favorite travel recommendations!
