Wine-ing through France

Viva la France!

The overall climate is slightly grayer, often mild. Our dry and cold routine can work wonders, but it can also be at times, moderately wet. Here is one routine that worked for me...

Morning Routine:

  1. Cleanser (Supreme Clean)
  2. Tighten+Glow. Refining Mist.
  3. Deep Hydration. Gel Balm.
  4. Brilliance. Vitamin C Serum. 2-3x week
  5. Meta. Ultimate Tx Cream

Evening Routine:

  1. Cleanser
  2. Tighten+Glow. Refining Mist.
  3. Deep Hydration. Gel Balm.
  4. Brilliance. Vitamin C Serum. 2-3x week
  5. Meta. Ultimate Tx Cream.
  6. Condition. Rainforest Repair Balm.
  7. Deep Refining Cream 2x3 week

I found myself spending a short 10-day (well, short for France!) holiday there after I had a stint living in London. I was depressed about leaving London -- and I will tell you that if there ever was a perfect remedy, it was time in France with three of my best friends.

Because, first off... I arrived in a very small village outside of St Emilion, called Libourne. And this was the Air BNB--- right on a vineyard! For an NYC girl living in 550 square feet... I felt like I could breathe again.

For me, it was a perfect holiday spot... you could walk for 5 miles and not see a single person

Stop at the Sunday farmer's market

and find picturesque moments, like these buttons

And buy the MOST amazing cheese. (editors note: I attempted to purchase the cheese in French and ended up with enough to feed at least 30 people -- not our group of 4)

But of course, the show stopper in this area (the Bordeaux region) is wine. And boy can you get some of the best...

We had tours of the grand crus...

and we tunneled through history

We explored the villages and scenes throughout.

And we couldn't leave without a couple days in the city of light -- which has a well-deserved reputation for romance, culture and high-quality gastronomy (but that is for another time...)
