Real Skincare of Orange County

Los Angeles is known for many things. One is being one of the most polluted cities in the US (and not so great in the world rankings...). However, Laguna Beach, a mere one hour drive away, is like a different world. It is known for its even and very appealing Mediterranean climate featuring mild, wet winters and warm, dry summers.

For those in Orange County, while each day may feel like a holiday, there are still cares in the world when it comes to skincare. Sun damage, dryness and premature aging.

One of my best friends lives in Laguna -- so I am a frequent visitor. The first thing I do when I arrive is put on my Transform and Meta. Protection, natural SPF, nourishment, hydration, and intense anti-aging fighters that you never would suspect are in there because of how amazing they feel.

Actually there are many first things that I do in Laguna. All of which I recommend. It begins with a walk along the beach. It's only about 3 miles and you pass beautiful site after beautiful site. Coming from  NYC it is a feast for all of my senses.

And obviously playing with one of my favorite pooches.  Her name is Keeva... which means precious. Perfect, right?

Then I get ice cream. Or more accurately gelato from Gelato Paradiso.  Its amazing. One of the best -- even compared to Italy.

And I try to take a hike and get perspective. Because wow...

And as many times as I go, it ends up with some sightseeing and eating no shortage of green foods.

On my last trip, we did a truly fantastic photo shoot. We stayed in line with the "green" theme.

With every photo shoot we do, there are some behind the scenes adventures.

Got this beautiful shot

inside a little cave...

Which was amazing- until I had to cross the crashing waves to get out of said cave. Let's just say it was unfortunate that I didn't have a second outfit with me.

This dynamic scene

and then

But at the end of the day, sometimes it's nice to have a little imperfection, even in the land of Eden.
